Today I advise all of Hong Kong's prowlers, muggers, hoodlums and other crooks to take notice of what Police Commissioner Andy Tsang Wai-hung said last Saturday. He said the police would mobilize its entire force of 30,000 men and women, if necessary, to deal with the Occupy Central protest next July 1. Prowlers, muggers, hoodlums and other crooks should avoid Central. The area will be full of policemen. It will be unsafe for crooks. But the rest of Hong Kong will be safe for crooks because all the policemen will be in Central.
A
prowler is a person who moves around quietly and secretly, usually at night, looking for ways to commit a crime. A mugger is a person who attacks people in public areas and steals from them. A hoodlum is a criminal, such as a triad society member. The word crook has many meanings but as a slang word it means a person who does dishonest or illegal things. Prowlers, muggers and hoodlums are all crooks. To mobilize the entire police force means to get the whole force ready.
Since all the policemen will be in Central and all the crooks everywhere else, the safest thing is to stay home. If the non-stop TV coverage of the Occupy Central protest makes you want to commit suicide by jumping from your window, I suggest you delay it because there will be no policemen to dissuade (deter, advise against, discourage) you. But if you do not want to be dissuaded, then delay no more. If you want to jump from a building in Central, there will be 30,000 policemen and policewomen to deter you. You can pretend to jump and when the policemen dissuade you, you can tell them only the most gorgeous (beautiful) policewoman in the Hong Kong Police Force can deter you.
The book fair has started. I'll be at the Sing Tao Publishing booth (1AD28) on Sunday July 21 from 3 pm-4 pm and Tuesday July 23 from 2.30 pm to sign copies of my new book. I hope to see you there. It would be an honor (honour in British English) to meet you.

To mobilize the entire police force
mickchug@gmail.com
