A few days ago I did something I had never done before. I shoved (pushed in a rough way) other passengers away so I could get into a crowded MTR train. I was exasperated (very irritated or angry) because all the passengers lining up in front of me just stood by the door when they entered the train. This made it impossible for me to enter even though the middle part of the train was not crowded. I told them in English and Cantonese to move further into the train so that other passengers could also board. But they ignored me and continued playing with their mobile phones. So I rudely shoved them aside.
I
had no qualms (bad feelings or regrets) about doing that. They were so selfish that they did not deserve my respect. Once inside the train, I shoved my way to the middle where it was not so crowded. I looked at all the selfish people blocking the train doors and wondered why Hong Kong had become like this. The doors could not close properly at each and every stop because more passengers were trying to enter the train. When the doors re-opened (opened again), there was a long and polite announcement in Cantonese, Putonghua and English telling passengers to stand back from the door. Then there was the "toot, toot, toot, toot" sound and the doors would try to close again. This system is inane (stupid, idiotic) because repeating the long announcement in three languages, followed by a "toot, toot" sound, gives extra time for even more passengers to shove into the train.
It is quite normal nowadays for MTR train doors to close and open at least three times as more passengers try to shove in before the train can start again. MTR officials are very highly-paid but they are brainless (stupid). They should scrap (stop, do away with) the long and polite announcements. They just need a stern (strict) two-word warning in three languages that says: "Don't Enter ! " followed by a very loud "toot". Those who enter should be fined $1,000.

幾日前我做了一件我從來未做過的事。為了擠進擠逼的車廂,我推開(shoved)其他乘客。我很光火(exasperated),因為所有在我前面排隊的乘客,甫踏進車廂都只站在車門附近。即使車廂中間不太擠逼,我卻沒法子上車。我用英語和廣東話叫他們移入車廂裏面,好讓其他乘客也能上車,他們卻置若罔聞,只顧着繼續玩手機。於是我粗魯地將他們推(shoved)在一旁。
我絲毫沒有為此歉疚(qualms),他們太自私,不值得尊重。一進車廂,我便推(shoved)進到不那麼擠逼的車廂中間,我回頭看那些塞着車門的自私鬼,詫異怎麼香港變成這個模樣了。每到一個站,車門都不能妥當關上,因為還有更多乘客想擠上車。當車門重開(re-opened),就有冗長而有禮的粵語、普通話和英語廣播,勸導乘客別站近車門,隨後是「嘟嘟嘟嘟」的聲響,車門又嘗試關上。這個系統很白癡(inane),因為以三種語言重複那段長廣播,再來「嘟嘟」聲,讓更多乘客有額外的時間去擠進(shove)車廂。
現在,港鐵車門要開關至少三次已是司空見慣,因為許多乘客都想在列車開動前擠(shove)得進車廂。港鐵高層在支高薪,卻是無腦(brainless)的。他們應該廢除(scrap)冗長而有禮的廣播,只需要以三語喝出嚴厲(stern)的二字警告:「別進!」再來很響亮的一下「嘟」聲。哪個還敢擠進來,就罰他一千大元。
