T he chief executive's daughter Chai-yan, who studied in Britain, had used swear words profusely(excessively, abundantly) on Facebook. Leung Chun-ying also studied in Britain in 1977, the same time as the court case about "bollocks". I wonder if he used the word while in Britain or if he uses it in private here. Many western political leaders have been caught using expletives. In 2010, US Vice President Joe Biden was so happy that Congress had approved President Barack Obama's health care reform that he was caught saying "it's a big f-king deal". In 2004, former US Vice President Dick Cheney told a Democratic Party senator to go f-k himself while they were both inside the US Senate.
In 2008, a well-known leader of black Americans, Jesse Jackson, criticized Barack Obama by saying: "I want to cut his nuts off." The word "nuts" when used this way is a swear word that means testicles. Former US President George W. Bush was caught using the obscenities "shit" and "asshole" (anus). I have never heard Hong Kong politicians use swear words in public even though my research on the internet shows only the English language has more swear words than the Cantonese dialect. My research also showed that an article in the American Journal of Psychology said the expletives "f-k" and "shit" were often used by children between the ages of 1 and 12.
