A s my co-worker tried frantically to log on, I also became frantic, but for a different reason. I became frantic because my two guests had still not arrived for our 2.30pm TV recording. I worriedly joked with my co-workers that the two student leaders were late because they were also trying to pre-order the iPhone 6. To pre-order something means to order, or buy something before it is available so that it can be delivered later. Co-workers are the people you work with. If you have your heart set on something, it means you want it very much. If you are frantic, it means you are so nervous, anxious, and worried that you panic.
My two guests arrived just at 3pm. I jokingly asked if trying to pre-order an iPhone 6 had made them late. They said they had to attend a forum on politics and Chow Yong-kang had to meet with people from the pro-establishment camp. Their reason impressed me very much. While so many other young Hong Kong people were frantically trying to buy iPhones, these two university students cared more about Hong Kong's political future. I knew while interviewing them that they both had very sharp minds. If you have a sharp mind, it means you are very intelligent and are able to argue things in a logical way. Leung Lai-kwok speaks very good English and during the interview I felt she argued some points better than I did. I do not agree with some of their methods to fight for democracy but I admire their dedication to democracy.

要是你have your heart set on某事,即是你一心想得到它。
mickchug@gmail.com
