T o bombard means to attack continuously with bombs. But the word can also be used in other ways. If Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying is asked numerous questions about a scandal by reporters at a press conference, you can say: "Leung Chun-ying was bombarded with questions." The expression "drives me nuts" means to make me go crazy. The non-stop construction noise near my home drives me nuts. The word "baby" means a young child, but it can also be used as a verb. When it is used as a verb, it means to treat someone like a baby. If you are 20 years old but your mother still treats you like a baby by filling out forms for you or choosing what clothes you wear, you can tell her: "Stop babying me."
Some MTR announcements are useful, such as the announcement asking passengers to be careful of wet and slippery steps at station entrances when it is raining. But I think the MTR babies passengers with many unnecessary announcements. Most Hong Kong people use their mobile phones non-stop to play games or watch videos. They do this even while they are walking in crowded streets. They will take no notice of stupid announcements telling them not to use their mobiles phones while using MTR escalators.

Leung Chun-ying was bombarded with questions." 習語drives me nuts即是把我迫瘋了。我家附近那無止境(non-stop)的地盤噪音真叫我抓狂(drives me nuts)。Baby就是嬰孩,但也可以作動詞用,那就解作把某人當嬰孩般看待。如果你已二十歲,但你媽媽仍把你當小孩般,幫你填表格或替你選擇該穿甚麼,你可以跟她說:"Stop babying me."
有些港鐵廣播是有用的,例如下雨天時,着乘客小心站口濕滑的地面和梯級。但我認為港鐵用許多無謂的廣播,把乘客當嬰兒看待(babies)。許多香港人會不停地(non-stop)用手機玩遊戲或看影片,即使走在繁忙的街道,他們也會照看不誤。他們乘搭扶手電梯時,根本不會留意這個叫他們不要用手提電話的愚笨廣播。
