D onald Tsang Yam-kuen did not balk at living in Government House. He even built a big goldfish pond to bring him good luck. But he too became very unpopular. Leung Chun-ying does not look like a superstitious man but I think he is jinxed. He should hire a feng shui expert to re-arrange the furniture in Government House. A rumor is unconfirmed information that is spread from person to person. It is similar to the word gossip. To balk at something means to be unwilling to do it. To be superstitious means to believe in things without proper or logical reasons. For example, superstitious people believe the number four will bring them bad luck. A person who is jinxed is a person who always brings bad luck to himself.
C.Y. Leung has faced one problem after another since becoming chief executive a year ago. Bad luck follows him whatever he does. That is why I think he is jinxed. He is now facing yet another scandal involving his closest adviser, Barry Cheung Chun-yuen, who suddenly announced that the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange, which he started, has run out of money. Cheung has resigned from the Executive Council and the police have already arrested five people. C.Y. Leung has faced so many scandals that I have lost count (unable to count because there are so many). A good feng shui expert could help him break the jinx (end the bad luck) by re-positioning (putting in different positions) all the furniture. But I think another way for C.Y. to break the jinx is to pass a law ordering all government officials and Legislative Councillors to dress up as clowns when they go to work.

相傳（rumored，英式串法是rumoured）香港第一任特首董建華不願（balked，英式串法是baulked）住進禮賓府，因為他參觀大宅看看是否要遷入時，見到有殯儀車經過，他相信見到殯儀車是不吉利的。如果謠言（rumor）屬實，那麼董就是個迷信（superstitious）的人。他決定不住禮賓府，並沒有為他帶來好運，他不受歡迎，在公眾壓力下辭職。
曾蔭權可沒有抗拒（balk）搬進禮賓府，甚至建了個大金魚池，望能帶來好運。不過，他也非常不受歡迎。梁振英看來不像個迷信（superstitious）的人，但我相信他甚為不祥（jinxed）。他應該聘用一位風水師，將禮賓府的家具重新擺設。Rumor是謠言或傳聞，類近的字眼是gossip。To balk即是抗拒做某事，猶豫不前。Superstitious形容人迷信，例如有些迷信（superstitious）的人會相信四這個數字會帶來厄運。Jinxed即是指某人為不祥人。
梁振英自一年前就任特首以來，面臨的難題接二連三。無論他做甚麼，都是霉運纏身，這才讓我認為他是不祥（jinxed）人。他現在又面對另一宗醜聞，牽涉他的心腹顧問張震遠，最近突然宣佈他自己所創立的香港商品交易所因財困而停業。張已辭去行政會議職務，警方亦已拘捕了五個人。梁振英面對的醜聞多得我已數不清（lost count）了。一個好的風水師幫他重新擺設（re-positioning）傢俬，該能為他破除厄運（break the jinx）。但我認為，另一個為他打破厄運（break the jinx）的方法，是去立法命令所有官員和立法會議員，穿得像小丑一樣上班。
